Tearwallet Baptist Church was organized in 1872, evolving from Tarwallet Baptist Church.  Until a building could be erected, service was held under a brush arbor.

For years this church has stood as a sentinel pointing men, women, boys and girls to the Heavenly way. In the midst of world problems and conflicts, in the face of strife and wars, may this church ever hold high its banner for Christ. May it always be A Church Marching Forward Serving Each Generation through the Power of the Holy Spirit!
